I am going to write about social tools' affect on our life. It is said that social tools are dangerous tools which affect people very badly. We are using the social tools more than we need; it is like an addiction. First of all, social tools have lots of benefits, and they also make easier things for us, but everyday we come across people who are always looking at their phones without even looking where they are going. They also always wear their headphones. I know sometimes you don’t want to hear what other people say, but you can’t always wear your headphones just because you don’t want to hear other people’s problems. A cognizant person should feel responsible for the world’s and other people’s problems, because you live in that world with other people. People become much more unaware of the things because of the social tools. People could be on their phones in the company of others, they could be uploading photos and statues every time they do something , scrolling through the news feed constantly for updates during any spare moment. This is not living. They do not need to make statues to tell their friends that they are having fun at a party. They should just have a good time in the moment. Social tools are also affect the moral values. The young girls are abused by people on the internet. These kind of people deceive the young girls, they want explicit photos from the girls, the girls believe them and they send the photos. After that, the person use these photos to blackmail the girls. We should control the internet, we don’t let the internet control us. As a conclusion, social tools affect the society, moral values, family relationships, the physiological and physical state of people. The social tools influence human beings in a way which is really dangerous for them.

My favourite country is England. I love this country because it is a really historical place. It has lots of castles, gardens and everywhere you turn is full of historical places. The UK has a rich and fascinating history that is still celebrated to this day. In addition to the museums, galleries and historical landmarks that are displayed across the country, the UK is particularly proud of its Royal Family. I also love red buses, they are so lovely. I also love red telephone booths, they look so lovely. I also love British accent this is the biggest reason why I love England. English dramas are also really good. The dramas casts, characters, music, and producers are really great. I also love English literature, it has some world famous classics. British people are also really gentle, naive. Repeated ‘thank you’, unnecessary apologising and awkward conversations about the weather are just some of the ways to describe the UK’s politeness. The country is also have really good academic schools like Oxford and Cambridge. I love Sherlock very much-both the TV series and the books-. I love it so much and because of this I love London very much. I like its weather unlike many people. Its weather is always gloomy and grey, but I love this kind of weather. The country’s music is also really great, and they have world’s biggest bands and singers like Beatles. I love tea so much and British people are also love tea very much. The UK is home to some of the most interesting and beautiful views in the world. These are reasons why I love England, I hope someday I will go to England and I hope I will see all of these reasons why I love England.

I am a jury member of the committee choosing the person of the year. My candidate for this year is Lady Gaga. I am going to explain why we should choose her as the person of the year. This year maybe she didn’t make much contribution to music world, but she made a lot of contribution to the society and the world. Firstly, she supports a lot of charity organisations like Alzheimer's Association, American Foundation for AIDS Research, Artists for Peace and Justice. She also founded a charity organisation with her mother. It is called The Born This Way Foundation. It was named after Lady Gaga’s  second studio album “Born This Way” The cause for which Lady Gaga has assembled a chorus of support from such a dissonant bunch is to build self-esteem among young people. The Born This Way Foundation will seek to fight bullying and “inspire bravery” among young people, online and off. When the star first shared news of her foundation in December, more than 100,000 people signed up on its Web site to receive information. So now, in celebration of her tireless efforts to spread peace and acceptance through this material, she is to be honored with the ‘LennonOn0Grant For Peace‘ on October 9th, Iceland. One of five activists to receive the award Gaga is to be honored the work she has done via the ‘Born This Way Foundation’, the organization set up by the star to aid and provide a safe home for troubled teens, earlier this year. From March 28 to April 11, 2012, the BTWF ran a poster campaign "to inspire bravery" and encouraging supporters to submit images that answer the question "What does bravery mean to you?" with the 10 semifinalists selected by Gaga and her mother and leading to a prize for the winner(s), selected by fans. She also released a song called “Till It Happens to You”. A universal song about any kind of loss in life, highlighting pain of sexual assault. The song consists of an orchestral production with strings, and an emotional vocal delivery from Gaga. Lyrically it asks the listeners to stand in a victim's position and try to understand the turmoil she goes through. "Till It Happens to You" was later included as part of a public service announcement video, directed by Catherine Hardwicke. The video depicts various instances of violence against women and sexual assaults. It ends with a cautionary note about the effects of such distress, and the women finding solace with their close friends and relatives.  To sum up, Lady Gaga made lots of contribution to the world and the society. She wants to make a different world where is no discrimination, people live in peace, and people don’t accused of their choices. These are the reasons why we should choose Lady Gaga as the person of the year.

Reflection task 2b

Sherlock is a British-American crime drama television series based on Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes detective stories. Created by Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss, it stars Benedict Cumberbatch as Sherlock Holmes and Martin Freeman as Doctor John Watson. Nine episodes have been produced, aired as three series in 2010, 2012 and 2014 respectively, while a special episode aired on 1 January 2016. A fourth series has been commissioned, to begin filming in April 2016, for an intended 2017 release. The series is set in the present day, while the one-off special partly features a Victorian period fantasy resembling the original Holmes stories. Critical reception has been highly positive, with many reviews praising the quality of the writing, performances, and direction. Sherlock has been nominated for numerous awards including: BAFTAs, Emmys, and a Golden Globe, winning several awards across a variety of categories. The show received the most wins at the 66th Primetime Emmy Awards including Outstanding Writing for a Miniseries, Movie or a Dramatic Special for Moffat, Outstanding Lead Actor in a Miniseries or a Movie for Cumberbatch, and Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Miniseries or a Movie for Freeman. In addition, the show was also honoured with a Peabody Award in 2011. Sherlock depicts "consulting detective" Sherlock solving various mysteries in modern-day London. Holmes is assisted by his flatmate and friend, Dr. John Watson, who has returned from military service in Afghanistan with the Royal Army Medical Corps. Although Metropolitan Police Service Detective Inspector Greg Lestrade, and others are at first skeptical of Holmes, over time his remarkable intellect and powers of observation persuade them of his value. In part through Watson's blog documenting their adventures, Holmes becomes a reluctant celebrity with the press reporting on his cases and eccentric personal life. Both ordinary people and the British government ask for his help. Although the series depicts a variety of crimes and perpetrators, Holmes' conflict with archnemesis Jim Moriarty is a recurring feature. Molly Hooper, a pathologist at St. Bart's Hospital occasionally assists Holmes in his cases. Other recurring roles include Una Stubbs as Mrs Hudson, Holmes and Watson's landlady, and series co-creator Mark Gatiss as Holmes' elder brother Mycroft. I love this show very much because I like these types of shows and books. It has lots of mystery. It is also written very well. The writers manage to update the stories without losing any of the charm and remaining faithful to the Conan Doyle originals. There are some killer lines in the series. Its music is also very beautiful. At first the main theme is a little bit odd, moving at an awkward pace that makes you think you’re not quite going to like this. On further listening however it is a comfortable, warm melody and you want to spend more time with it, much like the central character. Also, I love London very much. In conclusion, the reasons why I love Sherlock are the main character Sherlock Holmes and his friend Dr. John H. Watson, their relationship, other characters, its story, its musics and the creators of this show.

Reflection task 2a

I am going to write about technology, because we are living in a world where it is the most important way to communicate, to learn many things. I think technology is a very useful device if it is used in the proper way. People should learn how to use the technology in a right way. We are surrounded by the technology at every instant of time. Even if we say we are resting, we use the technology. For example, we spend our leisure time on the internet, like I said it is really helpful for us if it is used properly. Unfortunately, we don’t always use the internet in a proper way and sometimes it happens out of our control. There are lots of unnecessary things on the internet. It also affects the moral values of the society. Nowadays, the courts are dealing with loads and loads of divorces with some of the cases being influenced by technology. Both men and women meet new partners on social sites which will lead to relationships that will end up destroying marriages. The relationships of the family members are also affected by the technology. For example, a young girl who comes home after the school directly goes to her social media accounts, and she spends her whole time on the internet instead of spending time with her family members. As a consequence of this, family members become like a stranger, they don’t even talk about how their day was. They don’t tell their problems each other instead they tend to say these to someone who they don’t know personally on the internet. It also causes people to become careless.  Every day we come across people who are always looking their phones without even looking where they are going. People become much more unaware of the things and they start living their lives through a screen instead of looking up at those around them. It has some benefits, too. It gives people the opportunity to educate themselves, and all from the comfort of their own home if they wish. It allows us to be able to learn as much as we want about what we want. For example, if you were interested in a subject or course that your school or college does not cover, you could take it upon yourself to teach yourself through your own. As is the helpful and cooperative nature of the majority of those who use the Internet, help is easy to find. Through the use of online forums or other websites users can post questions and get immediate responses. Another obvious benefit of the Internet is connectivity. This allows students to interact with their teachers or other educational professionals even though they may not be geographically near. All in all the Internet is making the entire education process a lot faster and more open, which is a major benefit. I think to get rid of these problems almost nothing can be done, because in this century it is essential to use it. We can maybe go to physicotherapy. In conclusion, we must use the technology in a proper way so we can’t be affected badly.
